Vortec MAX Posted May 15, 2008 Report Share Posted May 15, 2008 That gauge is quite accurate I don't drive the V-Max much because it costs so damn much. I get about 14 MPG in town in my truck, so I drive my Chevy Crapolier that gets more like 24 in town most of the time. I ride my motorcycle when the weather permits - it gets 37 MPG. I hope I don't get banned from this site for revealing this, but I just put a 500 dollar deposit on a Toyota Prius. There is a waiting list, and I am fourth in line. That thing gets 48 MPG in town!!! If I save enough money driving to work and back in the Prius, I can afford to tow the camp trailer a few times this year with the V-Max. Buying the Prius might set back my supercharger plans however.
