packjh Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I replaced my oem brakes which never left dust to the hawk brake pads. My fronts are so dusty that i have to wash my rims atleast once a week. The rear ones are not near as bad but do produce some brake dust. I just seeing if anybody else noticed this or am i the only one? Quote
Fireman31 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I have Bendix pads on mine and they are quite dusty also....but they stop great. Quote
packjh Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 stopping isnt a problem its the @$$ pain in cleaning them everytime i turn around Quote
Fireman31 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 (edited) stopping isnt a problem its the @$$ pain in cleaning them everytime i turn around I know, it gets annoying.....if I wash the truck I have to clean the wheels the next afternoon. I found that with a good coat of polish, all you need is a quick mist of alcohol based window cleaner and a microfiber towel to shine them back up.......10 minutes tops! packjh Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 i give it a try, i have thought about using wheel wax from chemical guys and see if that makes them easier to clean or not. Quote
NTMD8R_SS Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I get quiet a bit from the stock pads, Yeah just give the wheels acouple passes whit wax and they'll be easier to clean. Quote
jcc Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Has anyone tried Performance Friction's Silent Ceramic pads? They're supposed to produce less dust and be quieter also. Quote
