SS Silv Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) Has anyone else heard about Kangen Water? In a nut-shell, the Kangen Water Machine produces ionized, alkaline water which is an absolute health miracle. When your body is acidic (which your body will be without drinking alkaline water) you have a greater chance of devoloping cancer and other fatal diseases. After drinking this water, overtime, you bodies PH will slowly raise and your PH will be alkaline. When your body is alkaline, cancer cannot form in the body. I am not on here trying to sell this machine. I just want to inform about this new water purification machine. The guy I bought this machine from (which happens to be a friend) has witnessed many peoples who's life/health has absolutely changed for the better. There has been patients with cancer who have stopped receiving cemo after drinking this water and the cancer has less negative effects on the body. I know I want to live a long healthy life, and I truely believe by drinking this water my chances are greater. Here are some links, the website has lots of interesting facts/data: http://thewatertruth.com/cgi-bin/d.cgi/kangenken/index.html This is just crazy: http://thewatertruth.com/cgi-bin/d.cgi/kangenken/before.html Edited May 21, 2008 by SS Silv (see edit history) Quote
Rausche Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 If your body is acidic, isn't there only one other way it can go (namely Basic?). That being said, since water is neutral on the pH scale, you would have to eat lots of acidic food for your body's pH to be overall neutral (I would assume you'd have to in order to offset the 70% of your body that is water). It's an interesting read for sure, but I'm not sure I'm a believer... Quote
BlackSS04 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) they should research this into more detail. but untill the truth about science is shown to the public, real advances in the scientific community will not be made public. examples: http://www.climatesciencewatch.org/index.p.../ucs_epa_study/ Fringe Science : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fringe_science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Hoaxes_in_science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_skepticism Science is being held back ! BlackSS04 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 i'm not saying this is all true, i'm pointing out the fact that no one in the world can prove that it is false. it could just be a way to mislead us from the truth, who knows. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_misconduct http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minor...ntific_theories http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pseud...ntific_theories http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protoscience http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsolete_scientific_theory Quote
drako Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 interesting.....although I am not a true believer. Im not sold on the "cancer wont form" part...dont really see how it can stop free radical growth.... Kinda reminds me of people who eat shark because "they dont get cancer" (which in fact they are so heavily poisoned with mercury its deadly) Although I can see many benefits to drinking pure water, again I have seen both good and bad on Ionizing... is it reverse ionized or positive? misterp Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) Hmm I know it's late and all but let's just think this through - You consume alkaline water into a highly acidic stomach... The amount of "alkaline water" consumed would have to be litres to first combat/offset the stomach acid and then have the chance to be absorbed into the bloodstream, during that time I am sure you will have gassiness -and- NO STOMACH ACID to fight off bacterial infection from your own food! You would be a living corpse rotting from the inside out. I can only imagine the digestive problems this would create. Even TUMS antacids has a warning label! Everything concerning body chemistry is *very* tightly regulated by the brain, it will find a way to fight back and regulate itself especially blood ph level because electrical activity in the body will depend on this. If you want to prove it to yourself, then do a skin-prick test and take a drop of your own blood onto a litmus paper and measure it's actual ph, then drink the alkaline water for a couple weeks and I bet $1 that testing again will reveal zero affect on your blood ph levels. And I also bet you'll have digestive problems too. Junk Science. Mr. P. Edited May 21, 2008 by Mr. P. (see edit history) Quote

You use your urine for this test. And no it won't and can't remove your stomach acid. It doesn't take a scientist to realize that without stomach acid you will have major digestive problems. However it will help with an over acidic stomach which contributes to heart burn which can cause esophegual (sp) cancer. I am not trying to make you guys a believer, and you are welcome to your own opinions. But there are a lot of highly intelligent people behind this machine, and it is not just to make some coin. Well I'm admittedly skeptical; however if I see a blood ph test show actual change in measured ph then I'll believe it. I also say that by the nature of the situation users will have much more water intake, and that is probably the reason they see great improvements in their health (they were living a dehydrated life before). You're supposed to drink a coffee-cup sized serving of water every hour you're awake. I'm gonna respectfully disagree and say that the improved health is just from the improved water intake, because I've done that myself in the past when I started my own bodybuilding effort, I radiacally changed my diet and within 2 weeks had the energy of my 16-yr old self, the biggest culprits in my own life being not enough water or healthy oils. Well no S**T!!! Urine is acidic by nature, if you drink lots of water and your piss goes from brownish yellow (severe dehydration) to perfectly clear (superhydration, not generally considered a good thing), of course it will be less acidic. That's a no brainer. Quote
packjh Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 ah my brain hurts somebody pm if one of you guys try this and tell me how it turns out Quote

That's a no brainer. Dude, don't be a smart a$$. I personally can't explain the true "science" behind this machine, as I just started drinking it and researching. I can promise you that the people behind this machine wouldn't be drinking the water it produces if it wasn't benificiary to their health. There were a scientist from florida and canada that came down and my dad spent a couple days with them talking about this machine. These two were friends of my dad and they weren't trying to just make money, they were just sharing their wealth to a good friend. This machine has been around since 2005 so its isn't new. And Mr.P, if this machine had a adverse affect on the bodies stomach acid, I am sure it would have shown by now. And like I said before, there was LOTS of research and development that went into this before it was produced. If you guys only new how bad tap water is for the body. And also, Reverse Omosis water is chemically DEAD and has NO benefit to the body. It actually prevents proper minerals and nutrients from being absorbed by the body. MOST bottle water is filtered by either Revese Osmosis and or Deionized water. It contains no minerals, and what good is that for the body??? In tap water there are so many trace metals that a simple brita water filter cannot take out. The only option to remove these metals is to use Reverse Osmosis but as I stated above, RO removes beneficial minerals and nutrients. The Kangen water machine will remove all these toxic metals and will replenish the water with proper minerals and nutrients. So you can keep drinking your tap water. As I will be experiencing the bennefits of this machine. Edited May 21, 2008 by SS Silv (see edit history) Quote

I have done no research on it. I'm operating completely out of objective thought here. You keep saying that they're not in this to make money. I don't really trust that coming from anyone these days. It takes a LOT of convincing to turn me away from the idea that any particular salesperson / advocate is a genuine article and isn't just trying to secure his next paycheck. This machine has been around since 2005 so its isn't new. And Mr.P, if this machine had a adverse affect on the bodies stomach acid, I am sure it would have shown by now. And like I said before, there was LOTS of research and development that went into this before it was produced. Likewise though... If it's been out for 3 years, and had a fairly decent dev period before that (so 5 years total maybe?), why hasn't it been on the news yet? Or even in any of the magazines or blogs I read? If it's so good and so well thought out then why hasn't it caused at least a little bit of a health stir? If you guys only new how bad tap water is for the body. And also, Reverse Omosis water is chemically DEAD and has NO benefit to the body. It actually prevents proper minerals and nutrients from being absorbed by the body. MOST bottle water is filtered by either Revese Osmosis and or Deionized water. It contains no minerals, and what good is that for the body??? I'm with you on that one. I know what I'm drinking, though. Pieces of the pipes, rust, all that fun stuff. Like you said though, bottled water has no good minerals for the body. So I'll take the good with the bad and drink my tap water. I figure it's good exercise for my colon and my immune system. That's why I don't own a Brita, lol. I have lots of problems with your thought of the replenishing water with proper minerals and nutrients, but I'll hold my tongue on that for now. So you can keep drinking your tap water. As I will be experiencing the bennefits of this machine. Cool, let me know how that works out for you. I expect to see a full before and after phsyicals, including detailed bloodwork, cholesterol levels, BMIs, and itemized particulate counts looking specifically for what that machine is (supposedly) putting in and taking out of your body. Without that, I will still be moderately skeptical. Quote
