fox_forma Posted May 30, 2008 Report Share Posted May 30, 2008 Around 4:30am this morning apparently a 24 year old kid going to ASU was on foot on the I10 freeway and got struck by numerous vehicles. It was so bad they couldn't tell if it was a male or female and their saying up to 20-40 vehicles could of ran body parts of this young person over. They are not clear exactly why he was on the freeway itself on foot dodging traffic. One of our drivers for my company went past the scene on the way to my work in the east bound lanes and said it was just a mess and they were still picking up body parts. I guess they finally identified him by the afternoon but all morning it was up in the air. fox_forma Posted May 30, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 30, 2008 the thing is their not sure if his car actually broke down, they said they saw some scuff marks on his one wheel but nothing to really show it was broken down. The highway he was on is 4 lanes each direction plus the exit lane. No one thinking straight would try to cross this during any traffic and i would think he could see headlights since it was still dark and just getting light out. Something isnt right with this, his roommate said he was pissed because of being on house arrest for a DUI, maybe just to many issues at once and took the wrong way of solving them by walking into traffic. There were several calls made saying there was someone dodging vehicles on the highway then a little time after that the pedestrian was hit. Who knows though, but it was bad. KJT13 Posted May 30, 2008 Report Share Posted May 30, 2008 there was an incident similar to this around here a couple of months ago but it got worse. there was a woman taking care of her friend's 2 little kids. no one knew why, but she pulled off the highway and attemped to cross 8 lanes of traffic with the kids. none of them survived. there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.
