nxtnlne Posted June 7, 2008 Report Share Posted June 7, 2008 (edited) I know you guys are going to give me sh*t for this but I need to vent about my day because this dosent happen very often...These runs were NOT in my truck so if your not interested stop reading now!! The Saab is in no way a race car with 210hp 220tq weighing 3000lbs but I still have fun whopping unsuspecting people!! BTW from a 30 roll the car beat my truck the other day with me driven it and the wife in the truck . 1. Ok Lately we have been driving the Saab due to ridiculas gas prices, and it's time I shared the abuse anyway. The car has had it pretty easy with the misses driving it. We'll on the way to work today I was playing pole position with a G35 and he didnt really seem to interested , dont blame him considering I was driving a 4dr Saab. I wanted to see how fast those cars are in person Well as luck would have it we entered the fwy side by side and we hit it at the same time I was waiting high in 2nd gear....The fricken Saab pulled a fender and I took him till 100 when he let off he was way back?? WTF..LOL he was not happy and proceded to give me a thumbs down as I waved exiting the hwy (poor sport)...Sucks for him!! Good 4 me. 2. On the way home from work on the fwy @ 3am I paced a 240sx behind a COP till the po-po exited. I came around the side of the 240 and taunted him for a while..He began to load up and let me hear his turbo blow off..He thought I was not worthy of his s-13 or 14 swapped turbo. I FINALLY got him to shift into 3rd @ about 75-80 and we hit it. I pulled on him through 3rd into 4th then 5th, had him by a car and a half up to my speed limiter @ 135!!!!! We did this twice....Yeah-ya.. I again recieved no acknowledgement... ...LOL...after that fiasco passing my home exit by 3 miles I quickly exited and headed back on the fwy home. 3. Still smiling and proud of my Swedish GM street fighter ....LOL J/K....I exited the fwy right as a 90's Civic all riced out it had all the import bells and whistles ..... I thought I was pushing my luck but I could not resist..I was on a roll!! He had his lady with him and they were eyeballin.. sure enough he down shifted into 2nd hitting that honda note...I really handed his ass to him bad. I let off I didnt go over 60 before I had him by 2 cars..As they drove by (him not looking ) his cutie gave me a big smile .....I turned headed home and popped the hood the little turbo was GLOWING still from the fwy incident!!! Also a week ago from a dig 2 deep I had a go at a brand new Accord coupe v6 that's right.......another kill.... The SAABIE is not that fast, It's just my phenomenal driving skillz .. I for some reason love that puke yellow color in a convertable! I do know what you mean by fun to drive, i have similar car that is a blast to suprise newer cars with. I have a 92 Daytona with the ultra rare Lotus inspired motor in it. 224HP 217 tq stock. i remember coming home from michigan a while back and seeing a Lexus IS300 coming up behind me. so I let him catch me and as he got next too me he gave me a "good bye" wave. as we both nailed it from 60mph i left him standing there 3 times in a row, his girl in the passenger seat was laughing her a$$ off . he did give me the thumbs up and the appreciative good job head nod! but it was still nice to beat a car that i envied! You should have taken a picture of that glowing turbo, I would love to have seen it, since it isn't mine that is! I did let it cool down before I shut it off !!! Pics next time! I wish I could get some more boost out of that ecotech. Right now it's @ 12.3 lbs! But no one tunes the damn swedish tronic8 here in cali!!
