Well niether am i but i figured out a way not to drill holes in my truck im still working everything out with my buddy but were gonna use all original brackets... Just do your own thing youre on the right track if i did, it definetly would "NOT" get SS badging. just like my Z28 i have, SS spoiler and SS hood but no SS badging. I understand what your saying, if you go back to the stock valance just paint the top and bottom pieces black, that should look sweet too. One thing I would do, if you plan on keeping the grille chrome, you should get the brake ducts chromed. I think that would really change how you view the front end.
