The reported deal is for $52 billion. Now it goes to the share holders. The good news is that St. Louis, Missouri will be North American Headquarters and Global Home of Flagship Budweiser brand fand is fully committed to support wholesalers and their three-tier system. All U.S. breweries are to remain open. Edited July 14, 2008 by Stitches040 Merging two topics ... (see edit history)

Hankg42
This continues the disturbing trend of overseas intrests buying up American businesses and real estate. With the current value of the dollar, is it any wonder?
Stitches040
Everybody has their price so we let another USA company go. Pretty soon they all will move some where else. Yes and No .... What's actually happening, is that since the USD is plumiting in the world markets, and is worth less and less each day. It now makes US companies more appealing to foriegn investers. So what was once unobtainable, is now very do-able .... Same with areas like Miami FL ... many of the condo buildings and such, are being bought up by foriegn investors ... They are cheap to them, especially since the Euro is worth more then the USD. They buy now, and will sell later, once the US economy is back on track .... So basic investment rules apply here .... Buy low ... hold on to it for a bit ... Sell High, later on for a profit. Edited July 14, 2008 by Stitches040 (see edit history)
