00silverad0
Ok, right now I have the entire grille shell, headlights and billet grille off the truck and sitting in the garage. I did this because I am planning on painting the stock mesh grille on the SS grille. Problem I have run into is removing the stock mesh grille from the grille shell itself. There are little tabs on the inside of the grille that appear to be holding the 2 pieces together. I need to know how to remove the stock grille from the grille shell. Heres pics to show what I'm talking about. Any help would be appreciated since I need to have her back on by Thursday. Thanks Not the tab in the middle, but the 2 above and below it are the ones that I need to get off. This is on the bottom of the grille (same tabs as rest of grille, just a different shot)
SS Silv
I just taped off the whole grill. Took about 5 minutes.

Bluestreak04
I was doing the same thing last night, but ran out of tape!! Hopefully finishing tonight!! Good luck!
Justin Lamanna
Grind those tabs off and use EP Weld (a 2 part appoxy glue) to reassemble it. It will be a lot cleaner looking than tapeing it off. IMO.
mcmahan
i just say tape it way easier, but grinding them off would be cleaner. keep us posted on your progress

page305
My advice, use Krylon Gloss Black for PLASTIC!... It has a special label on the can, I think it has molecular images and "dna" strands (chemistry stuff).... Far superior to regular spray...
