packjh Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 The idler pulley on the vortech unit itself makes alot of noise.. Is this normal, does it need lubed...or do i need to call vortech and see about a replacement??? Kinda clucks as i call it. Figured somebody would know a little bit about it. Thanx Quote
sonickoolten Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) holy moley u got a vortech?? and which one did u finally decide on getting? Edited August 26, 2008 by 10zin (see edit history) Quote
04CHASE Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 no it should not make noise , you should here the blower , and if you can hear the idler over the vortech itself then your bearing is probably bad. Quote

packjh Posted August 27, 2008 Author Report Posted August 27, 2008 you could have overtightened it. been doing it from first start up we sprayed wd 40 in pulley bearing to make sure it was that one and it went away... i think i just got a bad one from the factory then. Quote
