NashSS Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Ok well we've got a good looking weekend here this labor day weekend and I'm gonna do a few things to the truck and I wanna lube the chassis but have no idea where or how many lube points there are. I looked in the manual and can't find anything. someone help please. Quote
Chevyman03SS Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Man the best thing you can do is roll under the truck and start looking at all the steering joints and other moving joints!!! Im not sure but the u-joints may even have a grease point!!! Thats what i would do!!! Good Luck!!! Quote
Fireman31 Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 AFAIK there are 14 grease points on the AWD SSS and 11 on the RWD SSS. Quote
NashSS Posted August 30, 2008 Author Report Posted August 30, 2008 Good to know. Thanks Firman31. What is AFAIK? Quote

cadillacbob Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 (edited) My 2004 awd ss does not have zerk fittings anywhere on my u-joints...I lube my suspension fittings religiously at every oil change...the fittings that are off of the pitman and steering are are the hardest to get to, but I just start mt truck and turn the steering wheel until I can get to them...i use mobil synthetic Edited September 2, 2008 by cadillacbob (see edit history) Quote
