F1SSS Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Just wondering if anyone has the B&B exhaust system on their SS, VHO? Heard the sound clip from the site but it was a 5.3L I think, just seeing what it would sound like on our 6 litre. Thank you. Quote
NebraSSka truck Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Sure do!! Highly reccommend it. Although, I got a fairly good deal on a group purchase from Tbyrne Motorsports when they were still in business. (just over $600) I believe the retail price is a little over $1,000 now. Pricey but a far superior exhaust system in my opinion. There is a few other members with the same setup, I'm sure there was a sound clip somewhere. If nobody chimes in I will get you one. Sounds pretty close the the vid on B&B website. -Alot deeper tone than the Corsa. Quote
F1SSS Posted September 2, 2008 Author Report Posted September 2, 2008 (edited) A lot deeper than the corsa o boy boy. My friend had the B&B Tri-Flo exhaust on his M3 and the cops would stare. Not going to change my stock anytime soon, but I saw B&B make one for our truck and Im very curious to see what its like. Anywhere near Omaha? I have family out there you might know. Clean truck man. Clean truck man. dont worry, its not gunna be like your buddys M3 those things are LOUD with any catback lol. im a B&B dealer so ive installed my fair share... also a corsa dealer, GMPP, magnaflow. i can tell you that the fit and finish on the B&B is the best, hands down. never have fitment issues, and the pieces are just beautiful. also, like corsa, no drone or resonance. the sound is a little more "rumbly" than corsa, a little deeper. corsa is more like a race boat sound. expect to pay in the 800s tho. i have a dual side exit for my SS ive been meaning to fit on, just havent gotten arround. love the product tho Quote
F1SSS Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 Thank you John and NebraskaSStruck. I was worried it would be too loud and the BIBs (boys in blue) would pull me over daily. Thank you for the details John (seriously what I was looking for on how it was compared to Corsa systems), and thank you for the pics NebraskaSStruck. Was not planning on mods, yes I sound like a sally when I say that, but I was thinking of keeping it classic and rare with no aftermarket stuff. Only time will tell once I get back into work. Dont think Ill be able to hold back though. Quote
kelleyperformance Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 your certainly welcome and coming from someone with a way too modded truck... your right on the "keep it fairly stock". if i had to do it over again, my truck would be on 22s with a moderate drop, still black, with just a corsa and the maggie Quote
rgp6373 Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 this clip is from when my truck had b&b true dual side exit http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Ford-Ya-Later_164021.htm as is this one http://videos.streetfire.net/video/silverado-ss_155066.htm i had to change it cause it got damaged so i went with corsa sport the corsa is WAY louder but the b&b has a sweet rumble this is the corsa http://videos.streetfire.net/video/corsa-s...long_176362.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/silvera...clip_180359.htm the second clip doesnt do it justice it is very loud with the corsa if you don't want to much attention the b&b is the better way to go Quote
F1SSS Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 Thank you rgp6373, that tunnel scene is a great one. Quote
