Well I have yet to sell my truck after trying all summer so it looks as if its staying in my possesion for another winter but I need tires badly. My factory goodyears cannot make it another winter. I know alot of you guys have the Perelli Scorpion ATR and I like them there a cheaper tire but I keep throwing around the idea of some coopers and have been looking at these all summer long http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/f...08862&ar=55 I know they are not the smoothest looking tire but I do drive a truck and I like beefy looking tires even though yes I drive a ss silverado I'm looking to see how you guys think they would look. They are going on my factory 20" wheels and next summer I plan to buy some 22's anyway so I wouldn't be riding around on these all summer long or at least I don't plan on it. I'm a bid fan of coopers as I've had them in the past on other vehicles and from the reviews ive read they are a pretty quiet great tire. Like I said though I'm a little worried on how they would look thats the only thing holding me back from buying these tires. Opinions needed guys help me out.

Depends how deep of snow you depend on driving on and what type of driving...for instance...

Use to race AWD bmws in the snow. They were manual 5 speeds and went fine in 2 feet of snow with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Those coopers look beefy and I think they should do the job perfectly from just daily driving and no traction issues. I would say the Blizzaks are also a good choice, you can even have fun with them (doughnuts). But for traction those coopers are good, and dont seem like doughnut, drifting rubber.

those coopers are an awesome tire. ive sold a bunch of sets and everyone has comeback to tell me how nice they ride, how quiet they are and how well they handle the rain. cant really say anything about the snow as i live in texas and we dont get much

I looked at these when I bought my General Grabber UHP's. The Zeon LTZ's were too off-road looking for my taste. You could probably pull it off as a street tire if it weren't for the knobby look of the shoulder lugs.

that and the terra grappler are fantastic street all terrain tires. they have pretty good dry and even fair wet grip, and like they all said theyre quiet. good tire

as far as the look goes- it doesnt matter what we think, its your baby. the only person that her looks concern are you, and only you. if you like the look, then you damn well better get them regardless of anyone possibly hating in this thread. do work

I've been looking at both of those tires (ATRs and LTZs) and think I'm going with the LTZs. I think for me I just like an aggresive pattern whether its street or all terrain. I also like that the LTZs dont have much crap on the sidewall, gives it a cleaner look... And i like the square look of the edge lol.

Ok. If I don't sell it by the end of this month I will most likely get those. I just don't want something that will look retarded.

Have you looked into Hankook's?

I didn't at the time but I'm really considering ordering these. I have been researching many tires in the past few months and I need some tires before winter hits which will be very shortly So i'm gonna order some tires next week. I found these hankook ventus st rho6 and can have them at my house for $632. I can lower the price if I remove the certificates for replacment if something should happen to them say I hit a pothole and its rips one apart which I'm gonna keep because last year the roads around here were by far the worst theyve been in winter since ive lived here for about 10 years and will probably be as bad this year. Question is do you have these or anyone for that matter? they will be going on my factory ss wheels. thanks.

I have them on my rims, though I will not be in the snow with them, theyre fine in the rain, I have AWD also and seem to be great. Also my tires are 235 wide so, if I don't see any problem then you won't. However, I think the Hankooks are known for road noise? And I mean.. It's there.. but I don't really notice/care.
