i was just wondering if i bought the wrong set up. i got a TCI street fighter level II kit. also got a TCI 2800 stall. this is my 3rd tranny first one was stock toasted it. the second tranny i ordered it from tci they sent me a two wheel drive trans only difference was the tell shaft was to long. i had a local tranny shop switch out the tell shaft. so shot my TCI warranty. well it lasted about a 1000 mile the tranny shop told me it was my fault so i took it to another tranny shop after getting it apart they told me it wasnt my fault they said the other shop put it back together wrong by breaking off the band bolt. they also didnt not push the little locking tabs on the front pump seal out causeing it to fall in and burn up the pump. so i had them fix it. i have only put about 300 miles on the new tranny. did i make a mistake by buy this tranny kit?? thanks for the input. sorry so long.

IMO i would only run a PI or Yank converter, as for shift kit, transgo shift kit, if your looking for built trans then hands down FLT, Rossler, . . . .

i agree with them... yank or PI for converter, they are proven and really never fail. always true to stall speed as well. TCI makes decent tranny parts, used alot of them on f bodys. but im not too sure how they stand up to the heavy trucks. nothing can be worse than stock, as long as its built good tho

PI or yank, Transgo HD are only real options. TCI might be ok for old vehicles but not worth a damm for us.

remember you get what you pay for when you buy a convert. you pay 300 bucks dont expect the same results as the PI would
