shawnss Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 (edited) here it goes i just installed my new rebuilt motor. i mostly rebuilt the motor to stock besides lowering the compression to 9.5.1 and a arp stud kit. im not trying to run more than 10 psi.but i left the tune i had on the stock motor on the ecu will this make my truck run bad. just wondering if this is what caused it or did i do something wrong with the motor i didnt build thr motor a local shop. when i step on the throttle the truck does not want to move like before. and the pyro climbs 500 degrees in a matter of 3 seconds climbing to 1200+ degrees. and the truck is turboed with a front mount kit. detriot speedworks Edited September 10, 2008 by shawnss (see edit history) Quote

04CHASE Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 yes whiter is lean so thats not good. might want to do a leak down test to make sure you didnt burn a hole in your piston. and dont go wot unless your sure your afr is in the 11.x Quote

zippy Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Sounds lean for sure. Poor timing curve can cause high EGT's, but lean is the worst for that. Yes, you need some tuning work. Quote

Yes, you need some tuning work. well i got my o2 senser in today i hooked up the wide band and at idle its at 14.5 good. but when i start to step into it at fool boost 6 psi its at 14.5 to 14.8. not good i guess that explains y the truck fills like it has hit a brick wall when i give it any gas. zippy Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Sounds like you have found your problem. Just a little bit of work and you should be close enough to make some power with it. Quote
