Turbocoop Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 I finally found an AWD dyno near me and Im gonna go get mine dyno'd sometime soon. The last time I dynod with an automatic tranny (my old lexus) it didnt work out right. Even if I put it in manual 3rd it would still downshift for some dumbass reason... I dont want to mess up my truck when I do it so what is the proper way to go about it? Speed up through 1 and 2 manually then shift to 3rd when I turn the dyno on??? What mph is best to be around when i shift to 3rd then? I also have a 100 shot with a 2600-5600 window so is there anything I should be worried about when I spray on the dyno. Sorry to sound like a noob but I pretty much am when it comes to dynos, Ive only done it twice and never with my truck, never AWD either... The dyno is at a place that specializes in imports so I dont think they will kow jack about my truck so I dotn want them to mess it up. Thanks for the help Quote
12'SROCK Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 are you sure your truck will fir proplerly? dont you have a shift kit? you could manually hold the gear if your at the proper rpm but im not sure since your awd/4.10's Quote
Turbocoop Posted September 11, 2008 Author Report Posted September 11, 2008 Yeah im not even sure if it will fit in their dyno. I dont have a shift kit- just a vette servo and I turned up the line pressure, and when I got the tune it changed the shift points and firmness Quote

Turbocoop Posted September 11, 2008 Author Report Posted September 11, 2008 Ok cool thanks. Since I dont have a shift kit what should I do? Quote
mean05 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 if you have hptuners then you can hold it in the tune or in the scanner...just get it up to about 3k rpm's then nail it...but yes manually shift it Quote
