My exact same thought - I assumed SD until he pointed out otherwise. But I think on the Ford stuff it's a lot easier because their MAFs work completely different, they report a voltage from 0 to 5 volts whereas GM's report frequency and I suspect that electrically makes it far easier, I've been meaning to ask a couple folks in the know about this...
