CoolBlueSS
I want info on the twin mass air sensors, how they get them to work together and what the tune looks like. No kidding. That has to be a biotch to tune. Probably set up like two 4 cylinders working together.
chpspecial
I want info on the twin mass air sensors, how they get them to work together and what the tune looks like. My exact same thought - I assumed SD until he pointed out otherwise. But I think on the Ford stuff it's a lot easier because their MAFs work completely different, they report a voltage from 0 to 5 volts whereas GM's report frequency and I suspect that electrically makes it far easier, I've been meaning to ask a couple folks in the know about this... Mr. P. My thoughts exactly. My BMW has dual everything including MAF and fuel systems, however, it also has two PCM that control each bank of the motor indipendently. The system acts as two engines sharing a common crank shaft. It can also shut down one bank and drive home on just 6 cylinders if it detects a problem.
