I wasn't happy with the color that I picked for my Cal Tracs, so I repainted them. They looked alittle to orange. I found some new anodized colors at Walmart for cheap in the paint section. They only cost $2.97 for the metal colors and $1.97 for the brillant silver and primer. The silver has a metal flake to it. When they are in the sun, it's looks like a candy apple red (very nice). They also make a blue and gold in these colors along with the red, and purple. I could go crazy dressing up my engine bay and make alot of things look like they are anodized.

The first thing you want to do is clean what ever your going to paint very well, and then add a nice coat of the adhesion promoter so it will stick good. Let it tack up for a few min.

Next use the primer for a couple of good coats without drips. Let it dry for about an hour, depending on the temp. then use the brillant silver for the base coat.

You can use the metal colors as much as you want, but adding coats will darken up the color. I just tested a scrap piece until I got the desired color that I liked. You can also a clear coat after the color if you want to have a shine, but anodized products don't really shine. I just use one coat of clear to seal it in. Here's some pics of before and after.
