BCSM Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Just ordered powerslot plus rotors for the front ,14", still stock on the rear but new pads all around , do you guys think I should up size the rear too ,or is it necessary? Quote
Fireman31 Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) If you have the money, you can upgrade the rears also.....it isn't necessary but it would definitely help with better braking and brake feel. You may also want to consider upgrading to stainless brake lines also. To answer your original question, when upgrading the front and rear brakes to the PS Plus kit, you will have 14" rotors all around. Edited September 27, 2008 by Fireman31 (see edit history) Quote
detjoe Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 the rear disk has a build in drum for the parking brake which makes them a bit more $$ and not as many choices for upgrades. Quote
BCSM Posted September 27, 2008 Author Report Posted September 27, 2008 Thanks guys , I guess we'll see about getting some stainless lines upsizing the rears ,can,t wait to see how good they work. I think I'm going to go out do some stops from 30 and 60 mph see what it takes to stop stock ,(feet),compare to the new set up and post them for anybody looking to do the same. Quote
haul@ss Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 im planning on doing the powerslot plus front and rear also. Where are you gettin them and for how much shipped? Quote
Bear Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) Guy's, as far as I know, unless PowerSlot has added them, they do not have the rear rotors in the Plus size for the AWD trucks. They list a set for the regular trucks, but they are thinner than what the SS, Denali's, Yukon's and Suburban's use. 19mm thick rotors instead of 28mm thick rotors.
