when you say down south you really mean down south...
Yup, south as in near Mazatlan, Mex. He tries not to run to fast so he has a little left for the money races, lol.

Pretty cool. Aren't you doing a 408 soon also?
Yes, already installed it but was disappointed by the low numbers on the dyno. I am switching to AFR heads to increase cr from 8:1 to 9:1 to see if I can pick up a little more hp before the turbo install.

If you are referring to my truck then it is a "400 SS" since that is how it was made at the Chevy plant and that is how it was sold at the Chevy dealer. I believe they were sold in Mexico and the Bahamas and maybe a few other countries. They are basically a "Sport" package with a 5.3L step side bed. Mine now has a 6.0L block bored/stroked to 6.7L(408ci). If you want to transform your truck you can buy the "400 SS" stickers at your local Chevy dealer, lol. The 400SS stickers are GM part #15788027.

The video of the truck I posted is a RCSB Silverado with a turbocharged 408ci(6.0L block) with SS body cladding.

BTW, what makes the SS different then the VHO?

Basically VHO's had selectable 4WD, whereas the SS was only AWD or 2WD.

Somebody on this forum has the best quote for it in their signature: "It's an SS from the waist up, and a Z71 from the waist down"
