Well, the tranny and T-case is ready to be installed behind the 408! I need a couple of extra grunt workers to assist me in lifting the puppy in. Due to the way my exhaust is routed, a tranny jack will not work (well) :( I did it by myself last time and just about killed myself (picture me laying under my truck bench pressing the tranny onto the dowel pins...an accident waiting to happen) :uhoh: .

RAIN OR SHINE

To all that show up:

1. Cold beverages and lunch will be provided at no charge.

2. Use of the laptop is free game to anyone who wants to do logging runs with HPTuners.

3. Enough truck talk to make you sick.

4. Internet access in the garage so you don't miss any action on SSS.com!

what time would all the fun begin??

I will be working at like 7AM but to all that wish to come over, anytime is fine. I am anticipating 2 snags with the install however if all goes well, the tranny will be installed in like an hour. I then need to button up the headers to see how much I need to weld. I think we will lose interest and figure out something to do in the afternoon. O.K. 4x4 (a truck shop near me) is having "Trucktoberfest" which may be an interesting place to stop by.

All are welcome to come on over. No pressure to do any work either. I will enjoy the company.

Hey Kevin ... It's only 4 hrs and 221 miles ... Can I stay the night??? "Cold Beverages" may be my downfall!!!!

... Sorry Bro ... Since we ended up cancelling the drags, I took my shift back and got 12 hrs OT to boot. I'm out ...

I'd love to come down Kevin, but we are in a state of emergency at work and are forced on 12 hr days thru next weekend.

BTW, Shuan and Keith, I wouldn't even consider coming if I was in your shoes! All that driving to hump a tranny into a truck??!! Your nuts for even thinking of it.

I'll talk with the boss and see :jester: , but I'm pretty sure I can be there. I'll let you know as soon as possible.

I'm definitely in!

If there's time, I'd love to hook up the computer to my truck to have a look. I've never had that opportunity since it was tuned.
