Super Silverado Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I have a 2003 SSS. The pas. side brake light is acting screwy. When the headlights are on, the light does not work. But when I press the brake pedal, the light comes on. Turn signal works, reverse lights work, already changed the bulb. Anyone know whats up? Quote
speedline Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 The tail and turn lamp has 2 different elements in the same bulb. One is for tail lights and the other is for turn signals. The stop lamp has one element and only used for stopping. Try looking at the bulb with the single element and see if that element's burned out. Quote
speedline Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 I reread your post and it is the stop and turn bulb you need to look at. One of the filaments may be burned out in the bulb. This is the bulb I would change if you haven't already done so. Quote
