packjh
its actually fairly simple... remove the exhaust, drain the tranny remove the drive shafts remove the transfer case, remove starter, un bolt torque convertor remove tranny disconnecting lines and plugs along the way... and one cross member. It is possible to remove the entire transmission and never reaching behind the engine. If you got a really long ass extension you can get every bolt with an extra set of hands. A lift is ideal place to do it along with somebody that knows what they are doing as well.

Krambo
no lean back? do they have solid mounts? Yes, they lean back however do not hit anything,...rubber motor mounts. I supported mine with a jack stand just because I figured it would be sittinng for months. It isn't necessary to support it either IMO.
