KJT13
what hotel were you staying at niagra falls; that view looks great. would like to take the wife there We stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls. The only reason I made that bold is that there is another Sheraton down the street. We got a upper corner suite which had a whirlpool tub, floor to ceiling glass in the bathroom and both sides of the corner of the room, as well as a balcony. We were on the 17th of 22 floors. They also have 2 floor penthouse suites for the same price. As Krambo said, the U.S. side is very unimpressive and dirty. The nicest building is the Seneca Nation Casino and it's about a mile from the falls. KJT13
What?....NO Bangor PA pictures?! Kidding Keith, awesome pics. The pictures do not do the falls justice. They are awe inspiring in person. I am glad you stayed on the Canada side, the NY side is not as impressive (from a view AND cleanliness perspective). Sadly, all we saw of Bangor was the sign for the exit while we were driving on Rt. 33. You're right about the pics not doing justice. The weather was dank and raw so that hurt the pics as well. Not to mention the amount of mist. We woke up to hail hitting the windows and then a slight flurry. It's amazing how much worse Buffalo gets, the closer you get to the border. It was so run down. Oh yea, we also got stopped at the Canadian border and had to go inside for further ID checks. We told the US border guard about it on the way back in and he gave a look towards Canada, shook his head, and gave us our ID's back. later on we found out about the two skinheads from Tennessee were plotting against Obama. I had buzzed my head really short before the trip (it was getting bushy) and our rental had Tenn. plates.

CoolBlueSS
Years ago (1995) we took a trip to Michigan. Before we headed home we went to Winsor, Ontario. It was much cleaner than Detroit. We got searched on the way in to Canada. Probably because we had a car with TX plates.
