My grandmother is 14 years into alzheimers and I help take care of her 24/7 with my mother rather than have her in a nursing home. I know your grandmother is in a better place now. Carl Eagle Posted November 16, 2008 Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 I want to say thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, as they are much needed in this hard time. We had her funeral today and thats when it really hits home, the hardest part is over. Now its time to start the healing process and just let life go on. It was especially hard on my mother who had taken care of her so long and tried to do the best she could for her. Well I have to think positive, she was a christian woman and went to church every Sunday so I know she is in a better place now. Oh I forgot to mention her name, It is Irene Hughes and she will be dearly missed by us all.
