garagemethods Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 i was lookin at the zippy shift kits and didn't know which one to get. he's got one that's 250 with the kit and servos. but is it both sets and is that the full shift kit. just tell me what to get guys. i've got the 4L60E tranny. (correct me if i'm wrong). and i wanna go to a 4:10 ratio. so which one for that too. and how much you guys think i would be lookin at to get the gears, kit, and servos installed? Quote
garagemethods Posted December 16, 2008 Author Report Posted December 16, 2008 and a stall converter choice would be nice too. zippy has two for my tranny. ones 33 spline and the other 30. about 250 dollar difference. any performance difference? Quote
kersey Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 I bought the zippy towing shift for 250 and it cost 250 for install. I really like the kit it shifts a lot firmer. you need to get advice from him, the kit you need depends on what you want to do with your truck. just give him a call. Quote
zippy Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Your truck takes the 30 spline converter. The next body style trucks from yours went to the 33 spline input shaft. Quote
96vteccd5 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 I was thinking the same thing for the shift kits. Hey Zippy, I would use this truck as a DD but tow my honda from time to time. Would the shift kit and the clutch band upgrade work well? I am looking to into upgrading the tq converter and read somewhere that the trailblazer SS is pretty good and raisies the stall up to 2600rpms. Quote

I am looking to into upgrading the tq converter and read somewhere that the trailblazer SS is pretty good and raisies the stall up to 2600rpms. The converter you want is for the standard 4.2L 6 cylinder Trailblazer. The shift kit I sell is a great kit for a raced vehicle or a daily driven vehicle. It's all in how you set it up and program the pcm. Call me and I can set you up with the parts. Check around here and you'll find that pretty much everyone that has it loves it and alot of them run faster with a stock trans with my shift kit than a stock trans should. I have posted all of the part numbers at one time and a place to get the parts from also. I don't sell them for the point of making money. Quote
