fast4popper Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Hey guys, I havent been on here in quite some time as i have been just too damn busy! between home stuff for xmas and grabbing some side work for extra cash i have been working on the drummer for the band slipknots audio system. the pics below are for his winter beater, he brought us all of the gear, we just supplied the talent to get the job done. we are waiting for 2 capacitors to get here today and then we are complete with it. i think it turned out pretty sweet. let me know what you think, its in the back of a 2000 Toyota truck, and if you know their music, you know he will be beating the heck out of this system so we built it as fool proof and break proof as we could. here you go> Quote
scooter3 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 WOW!!!! That is crazy. I see he is getting some quality stuff. Xtant puts out some nice equipment. Nice work man! Quote

Big O Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 hahaha ... wow .... those subs are going to get HOT ... that drummer burns the hell out of my system, I can just imagine what kind of music he will put them through. Quote
fast4popper Posted December 17, 2008 Author Report Posted December 17, 2008 thanks for the compliments, it turned out great, as for hows it sounds, its ok. I wouldnt write home about it. the mids sound good, the subs sound GREAT, the tweeters are a lil hott in my ears, but that could be just me. I have them 3db down on the xover as well as on the deck eq they are down 3 db at 12khz. still just too bright for my liking. just remember this is his beater for the winter. I did this one cheep enough that hopefully i can get him and maybe the rest of his group to let me do more of their cars. we will see, i know everyong and their brother is begging me for free swag from the group. here is another pic with the Caps in place and its fully complete. i just took it for a ride to make sure it did ok and nothing rattles on the highway. enjoy! wody Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 for those who don't know Slipknot "Wait And Bleed" Quote
Big O Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 +1 .... that is the song I love to blast ... that drum solo is nice ... almost like a massage in my truck. Quote
Turbocoop Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 slipknot is badass, that is a great looking setup. I like how you doubled up on the MDF in the box. I used to build boxes and stuff every week when I was in high school but I havent done it in a while. I liked making stuff like that. Nothing that nice though- good job Quote
