8hnpSS Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 So I pull in my driveway and I put it in park to get the garbage pails out from the road and I'm walking up to the pail and I hear the motor starting to rev up so I'm like WTF. I go up to it and I see the engine light on and it was saying Reduced engine power. The truck was Idling at 1500? and it was idling real choppy. I turned it off for 5 mins and when I went back to turn it on the reduced engine power bs was gone and it was running normal. I pulled these 3 codes from my aeroforce gauge. Can someone tell me these mean? Any advice? P1516 P2108 U0107 Quote
Krambo Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 More often than not your truck will go into REP mode from a Throttle Body / TAC / Peddal issue. Check the connections on your TB and make sure there is no water in the connection. Look for broken wires or some of the pins that may have been pulled out a little farther than the others. Next check out the connections to the TAC module on the driver's side firewall next to the brake booster. Again check for water in the connections and or pulled wires. You will not find wires totally pulled out however you may notice some fraying and such. I believe there was a TSB on wires fraying or pulling out of the TAC as well. Maybe someone else will chime in... Quote

brobradh77 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Kevin is probably right...they all point to the TAC module Quote
8 UR HMI Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 you could also checl the harness under the hood by the brake booster. when i drilled through my firewall to run all my wires i unplugged that harness that has a red clip on it for more working room and the first time i did it, it said reduced engine power when i statred it up. i got the same codes as well when i did it the first time and it was that harness. maybe not the same reason as urs but u could check it Quote
1 Fast SS Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 What's a TAC module? Does your truck say loss of power, or do you have have it hooked up to a computer? Because my engine light has been coming on and going off for the past 3 weeks. When I'm at a stop light, sometimes it wants to die out. I checked my CAI tube from the Volant to the TB and it wasn't on all the way. So I put it back on, drove it for awhile, but the engine still comes back on. I also disconnected the battery for about an hour, that seemed to do the trick for awhile, but once again, the engine light came back on. It seems like it doesn't have the power that it should have. But it only does this once and awhile. Just the other day, I was getting on the freeway and gunned it up to 80 from 45 and the engine light came back on. What the hell is going on? So I got home, and checked all my plug wires, etc. but still can't figure it out. Sorry didn't mean to jack your thread. Just asking the same question. Quote
