Chevcup47 Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 This is not a cropped photo. It is a blower off a freight train that this guy found at a junk yard. They did start the car with it on and with one blip of the throttle lifted the left hand wheel a foot off the ground and blew both head gaskets.. Quote
dubdaddy420 Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Thats fu**n nuts. I wish the motor would have held together, I would love to see a video clip. Quote

black00chev Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Im almost positive that isnt real. My g-pa knew a lot about train stuff and from what I can remember they are all turboed. In any case that would be nuts to see a supercharger that big, on a car or not. Quote
detjoe Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 (edited) mine is bigger Edited December 20, 2008 by detjoe (see edit history) Quote
silverado_ss_04 Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 i remember seeing that on tv befor, but i dont remeber on what show. Quote
misterp Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Yeah that's the Magnusson TVS-23,000. You guys sure that's real? I mean the blower would have to weigh at least 400-lbs and I cannot see an intake manifold supporting that much weight STATIC let alone with g-forces applied to it. Mr. P. Quote
CoolBlueSS Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 It would take some serious HP just to spin that thing. Quote
