kersey Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 It was the easiest and cheapest way i found to mount another gauge in a place i was happy with. i may eventually bring it up level with the top of the cup holder. What do you think, let me have it. Quote
RockHead Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 It is Diff. It would Hard to see at the same time driving ........But looks good Quote
BILLS04SS Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Joey, this is an interesting location for your gauge. However, I'm not exactly sure I'm sold on the location. I don't like the idea of having to take my eyes off the road and look down at a gauge. I guess I would have to try it and actually get a "feel" for it. Nice job though and Merry Xmas. Quote
kersey Posted December 25, 2008 Author Report Posted December 25, 2008 (edited) I totally agree about monitoring while driving, I want to mount a gauge in that location i think i would not need to monitor while driving. do yall think a fuel pressure or air temp gauge is more appropriate in that location. If i decide to delete it i still have the rubber overlay to put back over the hole. thanks for the replies and happy holidays Edited December 25, 2008 by Joey SSS (see edit history) Quote
shawnss Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Its cool cause its diff. but not the ideal spot for the A/F. Id try another gauge like you said. cause the A/F is one you want to watch alot. Quote
Oo p0op oO Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 i would have that gauge covered with my change hahaha Quote
thomp62301 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Can't say its an ideal place for the a/f but its very creative. Quote
mean05 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 AFR and Fuel Pressure would be the ones i would watch the most IMO...but if fuel pressure were to drop you would see it in the AFR gauge Quote
Turbocoop Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 i would have that gauge covered with my change hahaha thats what I was gonna say Quote
SSThunder Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 It's a neat idea. I'd like to see someone line Fast4popper build 3 gauges into the top of the dash above the radio that stick up above the dash a little. kind of like the dash cover that has 3 gauges but lower and a part of the dash Quote
supersub Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 its reall not that bad of a location,I would consider rasing it like you were thinking and it would be a little easier to see. Mine are really easy to see.plus i like the hide factor. Quote
brobradh77 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 kudos for creativity but other than visibilty problems as mentioned i'd be afraid i'd spill my drinks all over it. A aerforce interceptor gauge might be a good choice there you can have it monitor something you dont have to pay close attention too and use it to clear any codes.. Quote
slammedbowtie Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 its reall not that bad of a location,I would consider rasing it like you were thinking and it would be a little easier to see. Mine are really easy to see.plus i like the hide factor. i want that! looks great Quote
mcmahan Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 i want that! looks great yea me too like that alot Quote
