wolfpackman Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 I'm trying to decide what mufflers to get for my SSS. I want to run a true dual setup dumped under the bed. I'm looking for something good and LOUD. But I don't want to lose a lot of low end torque. I just love the sound of true duals. will other mods like CAI and PCM tune help maintain that low end torque even with no balance pipe? any input is appreciated. thanks Quote
garagemethods Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 if you really want loud with a deep rawr to it.... then just do a set of true duals with the 44's, but do cutouts after the headers. the 44's will be loud but when you really wanna wake up that 6.0, open up those cutouts. there's some sweat electronic cutouts that have a toggle switch so you don't even have to get outta the cab to open and close em. but if that's too much, just some glasspacks instead of whatever you want. in fact flowmaster just came out with a muffler thats pretty much a straight pipe, and the only restriction is a little screen like whats in a stock maf sensor. Fireman31 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Even though I like Magnaflow, I voted SLP since I don't care for Flowmaster..... Quote
wolfpackman Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 will the loss of low end torque be noticeable goin to a true dual? I'm not gonna be racing this thing all the time but I don't want it to be a dog on acceleration cuz my bronco with no cats and straight pipes was SLOW Quote

70chevy03ss Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Well I like my Flowmaster so you know what I vote BUT>>>>> I want to hear an SLP exhaust. vid time Quote
VHOSilverado Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Magnaflow is the Best man. I have that on my 06 VortecMaxx and like the deep sound of it, it's great. Quote
blackbeast ss Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 none of the above. . . .Magnaflow is the better choice for performance and sound Quote
BigCountry Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 every muffler shop in town installs flowmaster..... soooo if you like sounding like every other truck you pass on the road, go that route. I voted against flowmaster. Quote
Badkarma Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 could always run spintech race mufflers. nice and loud and wont sound like all the other trucks ronning flowmaster or magnaflow Quote
