zbishop80 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Alright gents, I'm looking to upgrade my brakes on my '05 AWD SS. As it stands I'm looking to get the Power Slot Plus Brake kit (PN 29-8690) for the fronts but before I do I have a few questions. Are there 14" Powerslot rotors available for the '05 for the rear? If so, whats the PN? Do you need relocations brackets if upgrading the rears to 14" rotors? I'll most likely go with the hawk pads since that seems to be the norm and I havent heard any complaints about them. Does anyone have PN's for front and rears? For more insight, I'm looking to do an upgrade on a budget. My original plan is to buy the above kit for the fronts and purchase the rears seperately. It seems I would save some $$$ that way. This of course is in lew of buying a full kit for all 4 corners from Baer or other mf for over 2k. one of my fears in buying the rears seperately is that Powerslot doesnt make a 14" rear and I would have to buy from another manufacturer. I dont know how that will affect performance/proper wear, drive, and overall feel. Also I'm not sure if I'll need new brackets for the rear as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help. Quote
JF-03-SS Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) The rear rotor part # is 29-8694. Make sure when you order that you get the kit, not just the rotor because you will need the relocation brackets too. http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/61A2729A0A0A2426630.aspx Edited January 2, 2009 by JF-03-SS (see edit history) Quote

What will this affect if anything? Quote

I didn't think PowerSlot has a + size kit for the dual piston 1500 series trucks that take a 28mm thick rotor. Quote
