ss wrecker Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 doing the wiring for the nitrous need to know which wire to tap into on the throttle body. need it asap please, thanks Quote
dozer Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Here is the pin out click not sure which wire you need. I never tapped for nitrous but Im sure your nitrous window switch is 0v-5v ref. You could test either gry or lt blu/blk 5v ref wire while pushing on the gas pedal with the key on and watch for the volts to go up and thats your wire. Quote
ss wrecker Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 thanks for the help we found that wire. got it all installed and wired and the window switch setup but it won't work for some reason. danny followed the wiring diagram so no clue whats going on with it. little run down of what i have nitrous outlet wet plate kit nitrous outlet window switch i bought from chase also running it on a wot switch nitrous outlet purge 860 bottle heater nx bottle opener that isn't installed yet autometer c2 nitrous pressure gauge pilled for a 100 shot any ideas would be appreciated. my computer is fouled again so this being posted at work. i can check the topic from my phone but i can't post from it so if it takes a while to answer thats why. thanks Justin Quote

Krambo Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I am having a little trouble following you here. You have a window switch installed however it doesn't work, that much I got. Can you state how you wired the window switch? Being that you are wiring in a WOT switch, that will be your "+" trigger wire for the window switch so the window switch will not be "directly" wired into the TB 0-5V reverence...just the WOT activation switch. The window switch needs to read the engine RPM, what wire did you use for that? The window switch will read the engine RPM and when the engine rises to the set RPM on the window switch, the switch will supply ground to the systems relay, completing the circuit and firing the solenoids. So on your nitrous solenoid RELAY, you should have a main "+" wire wired to your 12 direct source "battery", a switched 12 volt wire (from your arming switch inside your cab), a wire from the relay directly to your solenoids and finally the wire from the window switch. If you are using the standard bosch relays the wires should be wired to these terminals on the relay: 86 - switch 12 volt source (arming switch) 30 - hot wire from your battery (or steady 12 volt source) 87 - goes to your nitrous and fuel solenoids (+ source to the solenoids) 85 - goes to the window switch (this will ground out your relay when the window switch activates at whatever inputs you select) Did any of that help???
