Well, I finally found why my trans temps were getting alittle high. Normally they run about 150* or so. Mine was running about 170-180 for some reason. I was tickering under the truck today and noticed this.

I figured that the headers were to close to the trans lines and causing the lines to get hotter than usual. I had some heat wrap laying around, so just wrapped the trans lines up real good, and that did the trick. I guess a lesson learned here is when installing LT's, is to wrap the trans lines up so they don't get over heated.

Thanks, I hope this helps other guys too if they are having the same prob. or for the future install. I hate to see guys having problems that they can't seem to find. I know it drove me nuts!

common problem with LT's. some guys have actually found them in contact with each other.

wait. . . .did the lines move or something? i dont think so. . . . why did your temps suddenly increase if they didnt move? also for those running wrap on the lines, be sure that the wrap does not come in contact with the header primary pipes as it will transfer heat the same way to the lines.. . . terry do you have a bigger trans cooler yet?
