page305
I get a loud low pitched hum while driving. It seems to adjust to my speed (usually at 10-45 mph)... It stops for a half a second in between coasting and when I touch the gas again, but it's there all the time. I'm thinking a wheel bearing maybe? I do get some creaking when I turn every now and again. Almost like a shudder... Any idea would be appreciated... Thanks, Jim.
delay18
Sounds like what my truck just started doing. Have not yet checked it out but sounds like either a wheel bearing (but i have no vibration) or the ever so common diff bearings
70chevy03ss
check your cv joints if they move at all look to where it goes into your diff housing. My bearings were toast. easy fix and about 50-60 bucks. But it could just be your wheel bearings Edited February 9, 2009 by Sick03ss (see edit history)
Fireman31
sounds like a bad carrier or pinion bearing to me.......
