8 UR HMI Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 search pcm tuning. it basically tunes ur computer to allow boost (psi) into ur motor. any FI needs a tune to adjust the air to fuel ratio or AFR. wideband reads accurate AFR. the tune changes ur stock settings to more fuel under boost, shift points, top end, tranny firmness, fuel trims, top end,etc... ANY FI (forced induction) requires a tune or ur motor well detonate or predetonate meaning BOOM!! without a proper tune u can go lean meaning 13.- and upper 14.- AFR under boost. if this happens u starved your motor for fuel and it cause detonation. send justin at black bear performance, zippy, wheatley, or Virgil (mean05) a message and tell them what u want to do, what ur planning on doing, and how u want it. Virgil retuned mine today and it is a great tune. all the listed above tuners know what they are doing and will set ur pcm straight for a good price. just ask ppl in the shoutbox what to do and they will let u know Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
