Leviticus
does the cd you burned play in other mp3 players? if not. . . make sure your computer is set to close the cd after burning. if it does. . . then your cd player might not be set up to play mp3's. 8 UR HMI
just looked up the deck, gotta be the way your burning. my friend has the 4000 custom made to fit his camaro and it plays burned,ripped,original...dvds. on the new pioneers it wont play with the parking break wire just grounded...it needs a switch. my D3 said the same thing but i install for a living so the switch clears it and plays.. dk if u have a bad one or the dvds just arent burned right. BigCountry
does it play store bought DVDs. I've got the same HU and it plays everything I've tried so far. Run the parking brake wire though a switch to ground. Then switch it off then back on and voila. It thinks you're in park. james6585
yeah I do have it ran on a switch, and it plays store bought I don't know. when you hit burn on my computer it asked you what mode you want to burn in, and I put it in dvd data mode
Leviticus
under dvd data mode make sure its set to "close session when finishes" not "leave session open" good luck

james6585
are you burning to a dual layer DVD? I don't know its a dvd+r video/data media I asked a friend and he said he burns all his dvd's on a regular cd in data mode
fox_forma
I dont think you can make it a data dvd and play movies, you need to burn it as an actual DVD I believe so it is converted over to play properly.
