ryan_310
I dont really want to buy a new tranny im not looking at more then 500 Hp just going to bold on a supercharger some day and some other bolt ons. Is it worth it to just make my stock tranny stronger with aftermarket parts?
blackbeast ss
well if your planning to stay under 500 hp then yes its worth it.......heres my set up spend about 2800 with parts labor and converter and its working good for me http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...c=51190&hl=
ces63ss
ryan, If you add that charger you best upgrade the internals on that tranny. You in Los angeles(310)? if you are talk to Toy shop transmission in Pomona great guys, great wok and fair in price. Just ask around. ryan_310
Thanks for the help glad to know i can keep my stock tranny and beef it up for alittle less then the price of a new tranny alone. That is going to be my first performance when i get back home this winter.

Fireman31
Yes it is worth beefing up. Some guys have been lucky and gotten 60-70k out of a beefed up stock trans behind a Radix. It is really the luck of the draw, I say beef yours up and run it until its dead.....

SSThunder
If you don't go below the 3.0 pulley on the radix, then just add a zippy shift kit/servo setup and a better TC. That's all I've done to mine and I've got bolt-ons and the radix. If i put a cam in or drop the pulley size anymore then I would be asking for trouble. I'm happy with running 12's at the track and being fast on the streets. I am starting to dream about low 12's and 11's though
