Badkarma
Well its time for new pads. Figure I'll upgrade to powerslots while I'm at it. I emailed Hawk about pads for my 06. I was very clear that this was the 2WD with the drum rear end. This is the aprt number I was given is HB323Y.724. Can anyone confirm this? I know they make them for 03-05 AWD. I dont know if they are on the ball for 06-07 yet
Fireman31
Nope, Hawk is still not on the ball. The part number they gave you is an LTS front pad for an AWD SSS. They still do not have a pad for RWD SSS's. I am running a Raybestos Severe Duty Ceramic pad, part number ATD-1092C. They are a decent pad with low dust and noise, I have around 15k on them now and they are just about ready to be changed. The Power Slot rotors you want are part number 8657PSL and 8657PSR(they are directional).
12'SROCK
Jason just get some Centric Posi Quiet Ceramic pads... Call up R1 Concepts and they can get them for you.... Have you looked into their Premium Rotors as well? Edited May 21, 2009 by WICKEDOWESIX (see edit history)
Badkarma
R1 looks like a good product, I may go with them for pads. I just want to stay away from cross drilled rotors. Have some cracking with rotors before. Not R1, but it still leary. Powerslots I have run before and they have been good to me. I wonder if there is any other GM vehichle that runs our front brakes that I can try and cross refrence with.... after 30k on my truck, its about time for brakes lol. hmm just noticed i can get them stickly slotted. Somthing to look into. Thanks Art! Edited May 21, 2009 by Badkarma (see edit history)

Fireman31
Cool, I've been contimplating a brake job, this just sealed the deal.... how are you rear drums/shoes holding up, I've yet to check mine. I am on my 3rd set of rear shoes, just replaced them 1k ago, still the original drums(cut once). I am currently on my 4th set of front pads, soon to be 5th along with new rotors making these the 3rd set of rotors. My baby has a total of just over 46k on her. damn Dan you have less miles on your SSS than mine and your going through your brakes like you change your socks! LOL NY driving I do a lot of stop and go driving, NY traffic really sucks. Not to mention, a few dozen trips down the 1/4 mile and 500+ emergency responses per year take their toll on my baby.
