bvonkss Posted May 26, 2009 Report Share Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) ive got a 406 thats buildt with 9800.00 is recets in it . im asking 5500 for it its got world productions heads on it with 650 hp to the ground 700 at the flywheel.it only needs the top end finished to be fully rolled. build to run 8600 rpm but only run at 7000. never had anything go wrong with it at all. stong running motor. anyone interested hit me up . or give me a call 641-202-6565 . im located in iowa. once i get all the specs. of the motor i will get them posted . Wow what a post I really think that you should post up some specs: crank, block (non ls, numbers), rods, pistons etc. Those are some things I'm sure you would want to know before u even called about a $5500. But it would cost alot more to make it run like this motor and can have the horse power but not run close to the way this dose. but im not looking for another one cause i dont need one like this a sold out of mud racing . Black2003SS Posted May 29, 2009 Report Share Posted May 29, 2009 Thats not an LSx series motor is it... Is it an old style 406 sbc or bbc? That might make the difference figuring prices. Wasnt a 396 bored out a 406ci? Dont remember and I'm too lazy to look it up. But I would like to question the 650whp vs 700crank, something about that doesnt add up, are you sure about those numbers? bvonkss Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 its an old 400 bored to 406 and with 14 to 5 compression and yes it makes 650 to the ground this isnt a motor for the drag strip was mad to run in 4 foot of mudd. if you was around where they do that at you would know what it means. just can go out and race with 500 hp you cant keep up most guys are running 600- 1000 hp and then above that with nos. its a 200 ft down and back and you hitting speeds of 100-125 down then turn around in a small pit with turning brakes and then raw power on the hole shot back with to hills to climb lol its crazy.
