Merc Dr.
Looking at NOS systems. I get that you arm the system and purge it. Once this is done when does the shot kick in? I know it activates after a certain throttle percentage. Does it also work off the RPM's? Does it kick in right off the start? What does it do when the truck shifts? Which is better for cost and performance, wet or dry? Any suggestions on the best bang for the buck?
anaya83
i've been thinking of adding nos to the truck as well, and i would like to see what other members in here have to say so i can make up my mind
Wheatley
It depends how you have it setup you can have a window switch,WOT switch and or both If you want to spray it off the line then have it on a WOT switch on the pedal, and of course you need the arming switch If you want to delay the nitrous or progress it you can do that also. With some good tuning, heat range colder plugs (NGK TR6) you will be good to go it is also a good idea to run a FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch) How much you wanting to spray? IndyC3
I use a ZEX sysem. With a 75 hp shot I dropped 1 second in the quarter mile. The kit is really easy to install and only has 3 wires: 1 to a switch, 1 to a ground and 1 the a TPS wire. It learns where full throttle is. A window switch could be added also if needed. 2 thumbs up for ZEX!
Merc Dr.
I was just thinkin a little extra somthin to surprise the stangs and tuners. 75-100 shot. I want to hide the purge valve so they don't know what I have. I don't plan on running it every weekend at the strip. I just want to make sure that I'm running the safest set-up so I don't hurt anything.
