raidaz4lyfe
I may have a mild form of OCD because I cannot find an exhaust tip placement I like for more than a few months. Right now I'm back to hidden turn downs, but I played around with these ideas today. With the side exit stock SS tip, I was thinking of getting it powder coated black for a more subtle look. I was also wondering if anybody has ever cut a notch out of the cladding to run side exit exhaust like on the lightnings or Saleen F150s. I was thinking it may look cleaner. For the dual tips on the back I would most likely do the same to the driver's side. Let me know what you think would look best. I value your opinion. Thanks. LilEz02
i have the hidden turn downs and really like that u cant see them but i think your truck looks best with the duel tip behind the pass. rear wheel. your truck looks awesome man and i think that tip just screams performance. kickinaSS
i personaly think the truck looks cleaner with turndowns... not to mention i like the throatier sound you get... imo i just think the exhaust tip befor the tire looks lost and missplaced, idk i tried it with the stock ss tip and five others and couldnt find a look i liked, so i went turndowns... no complaints here! good luck though i think whatever you decide will look tight, your truck is clean
BigCountry
I've run dumps before, just feel like something is missing, or incomplete. This is the only pic I have of mine... It's an MBRP stainless 4" turdown behind the rear tire... Kinda hides the fact that I'm running sewer pipe for my exhaust, haha. It's a little different and I like it, but i'm sure it's not for everone. Of the options you posted, I like the dual exit behind the rear tire. wody
i dumped mine since i agree that it's a clean look when you can't see the tips. to each his own though. whatever you decide will be totally up to you if you like it or not. i'm all for originality though, so if you come up with something i've never seen before then to you. elcompalaline
IMO I would not go with the tip, too much of a hassle tryin to keep em clean. I had mine tucked up under the bed behind right rear wheel. You can't see it (much cleaner look) and its far enough so that the sound doesn't annoy (its my daily driver). Here are a few of pics. The truck looks great and whatever you decide to do will look good.
raidaz4lyfe
I appreciate all the input. I completely agree that the side exit tip looks lost and that is why I was thinking of powder coating it black. I guess the only way I would do it is if I could notch out the cladding. I'm feeling the turndowns for now so I'll keep it that way. Thanks for the compliments on the truck.
