delay18
Hey guys. We have a 04 Sierra 2500HD in the shop right now, and we are most likely putting a tranny in it. The overrun clutch blew apart and is completely shot. The case and other parts look pretty good, but of course with all the metal everything would have to be pulled apart. I am pretty sure that I can get this thing for the core charge which would be prolly $200-$300. So my question for all the 4L80 experts would be this. Would it be worth it to buy this and rebuild it? I have rebuilt a couple automatics before, and I have access to all service info and GM repair manuals. Thanks in advance! Rob

delay18
Well it was too good to be true. They wanted $700 just for the core! And I think just about the only solid part was the case. I know I would have had to replace ALOT of hard parts. Oh well. It was a nice thought.
