Rocky81
Hey fellas would like a little input to see if I'm making the right decision here. I'm thinking of installing a volant cold air intake and a corsa sport exhaust. I was wondering if this is a good choice or are there better products out there. shadowsniper3006
there was a post on here about dynoing CAI or what they flow or something like that and the GM performance parts one came out the winner if i remember right. I have the volant and gained a tenth or less at the track in stock form but i do like it anyway. If you get the volant also get the ram air tube, it keeps the AIT's very cool. As far as exhaust, i say this all the time, don't waste your money on a exhaust system. Just weld a new muffler into the stock pipes. firehawknwv
U can find a Volant on Ebay decently cheap. I got mine on there last week for like 280 shipped. Compared to paying over 300 elsewhere.
Rocky81
Is the ram air worth the money. They are charging me 1290 for the exhaust and 600 for the air intake. I am in Canada, I would say that has something to do with the price. All in all its a 2300 dollar job without ram air.
F1SSS
Those are the exact products I plan on doing (Nanofiber Powercore intake and Corsa touring). Only better exhaust imo is the billy boat, but I like the sound of the corsa (Nascar), as I had a B&B on my old BMW.http://www.bbexhaust.com/truck/silverado/ Are you planning on the Powercore or the oiled filter from Volant? lilindy500
I remember the CAI dyno results the AEM Bruteforce was a great choice. I paid $285cnd plus tax for mine here in Canada, no shipping charges! They had it in a couple days, where in Canada are you from? I picked mine up from GSS Performance in Saskatoon. I am in Canada, I would say that has something to do with the price. All in all its a 2300 dollar job without ram air. it helps keep the IAT temp cool, very helpful for racing on the street or hot lapping at the track. While other cars are heating up the intake charge, the ram air tube is providing air at outside temp, not under hood temp. It does not help when you are sitting only moving.
