I didn't think you could get pulled over for just the running lights, but I could be wrong. Maybe because its part of the factory design and must be visible & operational. On the tubing, why don't you check with one of your local fab shops or an exhaust shop and see if you can get some light weight aluminum or stainless steel for your tubing. After all, its on a nice looking truck, so you want it to look good too. As long as you can weld? Or even check on the net for some. I watched a "Muscle car" episode where they made their own CAI tubing from some aluminum, and then polished it. It looked killer! It might not be cheap, but it sure will look good. It might not be cheap, but it sure will look good. yeah thats what im doing i have a couple straight peices of aluminum coming and im going to have it all welded together as 1 peice so there wont be any clamps or rubber hoses connecting it and then im going to polish it.
