timtactical
Hello gents, I shaved my tailgate a while back, and with the flip kit, I had trouble with carrying loads in my bed with the handle on the inside. I also bought a bed rug and I really didnt want to cut it up, so I took the factory handle out. I rolled for a while with just the rods and pulled them when I needed my tailgate down, I even zip tied them together and used my bed cover to keep it up, but I didnt want to stress my tailgate and my cover any more. Later on I will install some pullys so I can engage both sides of the tailgate instead on one side. I also added a cig plug on a 30 amp fuse, so I can run my inverter for music etc when going to the beach. I ordered a power trunk kit for a car, I really only needed the selenoid, but I ended up using about the whole kit. For power and ground, I ran 8 gauge amp wire 20 feet from the battery and 5 feet to the frame ($25) Have distribution block for power and ground My home movie: http://s703.photobucket.com/albums/ww40/ti...nt=MVI_1260.flv Here are the pics: Edited July 8, 2009 by BeaturSS (see edit history)
