oscareltemblo
Will a radix intercooled manifold with a throttle body elbow be plenty cooling power for a f1 procharger or twins running 17-20psi? I think it is a good idea because it is easier to connect without running tubes everywhere.

I am gonna say, NO! the thing would heatsoak so bad it would defeat the purpose. go with a HUGE front mount and be happy.
oscareltemblo
So do procharger's and turbos create more heat than the radix blower?
detjoe
the radix IC core is tiny, dont you remember the one you had fixed?? the TVS ones are at least double the size of the radix ones. I dont see what you are trying to build?? just using the lower manifold, like its a sheetmetal intake bottom?
misterp
The Radix intercooler design is CRAP, it 'wicks' heat from the engine heads so your intake charge is going through a hot intercooler. Use a plastic intake (factory, FAST, etc) and use the largest air-to-air intercooler you can mount in the front of the truck; Jason (MIDNIGHTRIDR) did this and his IAT's never got over 5-degrees over ambient! misterp
So do procharger's and turbos create more heat than the radix blower? NO - the compressors used on centrifugals & turbos are FAR more efficient than Radix/TVS compressors, i.e. they build less heat for the amount of air they process. Mr. P. oscareltemblo
cool it was just an idea since I have a radix kit but no head unit.
