Fireman31 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Share Posted February 10, 2010 OnStar is nice, but in terms of theft recovery it isn't worth it, too easy to defeat. LoJack has a high theft recovery rate(90% I think) and it is also great for piece of mind. If you are planning on on choosing one of the two definitely get LoJack. I have both, and I have piece of mind that my truck has a good chance of being found god forbit someone ever took her from me(although I would go batsh*t and probably sob like a litle girl.) T-Bag Posted February 10, 2010 Report Share Posted February 10, 2010 When my SS was stolen I called OnStar 1st to GPS locate it. My subscription was expired. The M.F. said I had to be inside the vehicle and call in order to activate it, renew it, whatever. I explained itr was stolen, didn't care and was hung up on cuz of the cursing and name calling, still mad about that.
