I'm currently building my CC VHO. My 5.3 has the Castech heads which have porosity problems (coolant in the oil) which lead me to this site doing research on what to do about it. End result is giong to be LQ9 from an Escalade comp cam Prob 218 220 range, comp 918 springs,160 deg stat, 34" rad with oil coller and electric fans, corvette servo, k&n FIPK, custom tune obviously, etc.... not sure how to go on exhaust can't afford long tube right now. and have stock 2.5 pipe with straight through magnaflow muffler. There is alot of good info on this site and I have spent countless hours on here deciding what to do. Anyway I was glad to see that not everyone on here has an SSS but is accepted by most that do!!!!
