SSplaytoy
Just curious what you had. So you're gonna drop 60# injectors in it? You shouldn't need it with those mods

SSplaytoy
they'll be plenty. you'll notice a difference with the tune, not the injectors, unless you're motor was leaning out that bad because of the stockers

chpspecial
I wouldn't advice it. How far is your tunner. you will be running extremely rich the whole way there and if you still have cats they might go bye bye

There easy to swap out so u saying just wait?
SSplaytoy
Damn. 200 miles is a lot. I thought your tuner was local.....a few miles wouldn't really hurt it, but that kinda journey is a distance to run rich for that long.

Krambo
Yes just wait, excess fuel can do harm to you 02 sensors also. I agree. Driving without the tune file corrected for the injector change isn't the best idea. Can it be done...sure but its not worth it in my opinion. Wheatley
NO,do NOT drive down with the injectors installed when not tuned for. Going from your factory injectors to the 8.1 marine injectors is a pretty big change, the excess fuel can cause bore wash which is a serious problem. It may not be rich enough for that to happen, but driving that far it can. don't take the chance.LOL Edited March 24, 2010 by Wheatley (see edit history)
